Gore TAG® Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis, TBE
The Gore TAG® Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis, TBE, is designed for simplified, minimally invasive zone 2 thoracic endovascular aortic repair, TEVAR. It provides a dedicated endovascular solution for preserving left subclavian artery, LSA, flow while treating lesions of the descending thoracic aorta.
As a first-of-its-kind FDA and MDR CE Mark-approved thoracic branch device, the Gore TAG® TBE helps clinicians perform zone 2 TEVAR without the potential risk, time, and complexity of surgical LSA revascularization. This is especially important as a significant portion of TEVAR procedures require a zone 2 landing, where maintaining LSA patency is a key clinical consideration.
The system includes aortic components, extender components, and heparin-coated side branch components, allowing clinicians to configure the device according to thoracic anatomy and procedural requirements.
Clinical Applications
The Gore TAG® Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis is intended for zone 2 TEVAR procedures and endovascular repair of lesions of the descending thoracic aorta where left subclavian artery preservation is required.
Zone 2 TEVAR
- Minimally invasive zone 2 thoracic endovascular aortic repair
- Descending thoracic aortic lesion repair
- Procedures requiring proximal zone 2 landing
- Complex thoracic endovascular repair planning
LSA Preservation
- Maintains left subclavian artery flow
- Reduces need for surgical LSA revascularization
- Supports branch vessel preservation during TEVAR
- Designed for simplified thoracic branch repair
Thoracic Branch Technology
First-of-Its-Kind Device
The Gore TAG® Thoracic Branch Endoprosthesis is a first-of-its-kind FDA and MDR CE Mark-approved device for zone 2 TEVAR with branch vessel preservation.
Designed for LSA Flow Preservation
The device is designed to preserve left subclavian artery flow while treating lesions of the descending thoracic aorta.
Simplified Endovascular Approach
Supports minimally invasive zone 2 TEVAR without the potential risk and complexity associated with surgical LSA revascularization.
Modular Component System
Includes aortic components, extenders, and side branch components to support different anatomical and procedural requirements.
Key Clinical Outcomes
LSA Branch Patency
99.2% LSA branch patency reported through 12 months, with 100% freedom from reintervention due to loss of LSA patency.
Stroke Outcome
3.4% disabling stroke rate reported through 12 months.
LSA Revascularization Avoidance
Designed to avoid surgical LSA revascularization and the associated risks of an additional surgical procedure.
Key Features
- Designed for simplified zone 2 TEVAR procedures
- Preserves left subclavian artery, LSA, flow
- Minimally invasive alternative to surgical LSA revascularization
- Approved for zone 2 thoracic endovascular repair
- Intended for endovascular repair of lesions of the descending thoracic aorta
- Modular system with aortic, extender, and side branch components
